T (Triathlon) Minus Thirty Two…….


In 32 weeks time I will hopefully be on the second half of a marathon after completing a 2.4mile swim and 112 mile bike ride.  Yep, it’s 32 weeks to Outlaw!  So, after my not so structured aerobic base training, I am now following a strict 32 week training plan.

What is my overarching goal for Outlaw?  Sub 10hrs – there, I’ve said it!  I know that it is going to be a hard goal to achieve, but one that I believe I can achieve.  The course is ripe for a quick time, therefore, I believe that if I follow my training plan religiously I can achieve it.

Still following my aerobic base, this week’s training will include


  • 1 x 3 hour long ride
  • 2 x commute rides
  • 2 wattbike training rides (to include brick run)


  • 2 x 1 hour aerobic run
  • 2 x 30 min brick run


  • 3 x 1 hour aerobic swim to include
    • 1 technique session
    • 2 building sessions


  • 2 x 30 min S&C sessions
  • 1 foam roller/stretching session

In total this week will be around 15 hours of solid training to give myself the best aerobic base that I can build.  I will post individual training sessions as and when I complete them and I will also put this whole training programe together to share out.
